Biography

Darren Lee Brown was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He earned his BA and MA in Asian American Studies from San Francisco State University where he taught for two academic years as a lecturer in Asian American Studies. He has worked and volunteered extensively in the Asian American communities of the San Francisco Bay Area. His interests include ethnic studies and popular culture. He is currently investigating Afro-Asian connections in reggae music.
