Undergraduate Major in American Studies
The Bachelor of Arts degree program in American Studies is an interdisciplinary program with concentration iin American literature, American history, and a third related discipline or thematic unit (see item 3.A.7 below).
Requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies:
- The University requirements for B.A. degrees is described in the Undergraduate Education section of the catalog. For the B.A. in American Studies, 120 credits, including general elective credits, are required. The University's Tier II writing requirement for the American Studies major is met by completing History 480. That course is reference in item 3.A.5 below.
- The requirements of the College of Arts and Letters for the B.A. degree, with the exception of the College's cognate requirement.
- The following courses related to American Studies for 47 to 56 credits:
